OREANDA-NEWS  Vladimir Zelensky has imposed sanctions against 51 Russian companies and one Belarusian enterprise, according to a decree published on his website on Friday.

On Friday, Zelensky's website published the text of amendments to the decree on the application of state sanctions against a number of companies and individuals, including 51 companies registered in Russia.

The enterprises mentioned in the document operate, in particular, in the fields of metallurgy, chemical industry and communications. Among those sanctioned by Zelensky, in particular, the 103 Arsenal company from Saransk, which produces furniture for government institutions and offices, the Altai Khimprom plant, which produces reagents, pharmaceuticals and disinfectants, the Baltic Industrial Company, engaged in machine tool manufacturing, and the Elektrostal metallurgical plant, among others.

The document also imposes sanctions on the Belarusian company SvetlogorskKhimvolokno, which manufactures products made of polyester yarns, nonwovens and plastics.

The same decree introduces personal sanctions against 39 Russian citizens mentioned in one of the appendices.

According to the document, the sanctions include the deprivation of state awards, the blocking of assets, the prevention of the withdrawal of funds from Ukraine's borders and the termination of trade agreements, as well as the execution of trade operations.
