OREANDA-NEWS. PAO Severstal has been ranked second out of the most competitive companies in the global metallurgical industry, according to World Steel Dynamics. The company has risen four places in the rankings since last year.

In 2017, 37 companies were assessed against 23 criteria, including; profitability, financial stability, innovative production, raw materials, marketing efficiency and sales organization. Severstal achieved a cumulative score of is 7.79 points across these dynamics, an improvement of 0.38 points since 2016. This year Severstal was highly commended for its vertical integration and very low slab production costs.
