OREANDA-NEWS. Today, the LEGO Group announces a significant expansion of its strategically important office in the heart of London, UK. The London office is one of the LEGO Group’s main offices outside of the headquarters in Billund, Denmark.

The first employees moved into the London main office in 2014. Today, 275 LEGO employees, representing more than 40 different functions, are based in the London office, which spans five floors and covers 28,852 sq. feet/2,680 m2.

Our main offices play an important role in enabling us to do so, as they help us attract extremely talented employees and offer exciting career opportunities that engage and develop our employees. This is important as it further enables us to continually challenge ourselves and push the boundaries for the great LEGO experiences we deliver to children all over the world,” says John Goodwin, Executive Vice President and CFO of the LEGO Group, adding:

“To make more room for our current employees working here in London as well as ensure that we have capacity for potential future growth, now is the time to expand the office. The continued investment in London sends a clear signal that we consider it to be a great location for us, with access to a broad pool of talented employees.”

The office expansion will be located at 1 Plough Place, adjacent to the current office at New Fetter Lane 8-10, and it will span two floors covering a total of 19,424 sq. feet/1,804 m2.

While the LEGO Group is well represented around the world through local sales offices, in 2013, the LEGO Group reinforced its commitment of globalising the company by announcing its intention to grow and establish a number of main offices, with London being one such location. The company Headquarters remains in Denmark.
