OREANDA-NEWS  Mobile operator Megafon has upgraded the network at the Yarag-Kazmalyar border crossing with Azerbaijan, increasing the speed of mobile Internet to 40 Mbit/sec. This was reported by the press service of the operator on Friday.

Megafon accelerated mobile Internet to 40 Mbit/sec at the Yarag-Kazmalyar customs border checkpoint located on the federal highway "Caucasus", the press service said.

It is noted that the Yarag-Kazmalyar border checkpoint is the busiest among cargo and passenger crossings on the border between Russia and Azerbaijan, and now its employees, truck drivers, as well as tourists can use all online services at speeds up to 40 Mbit/s. "This is enough not only to send messages in messengers and download social media feeds, but also to view heavier content," the press service added.

Also, the operator's technical specialists have installed new base stations in the nearby settlements of Novogeorgievka, Incha and Godoberi, in addition to fast Internet, VoLTE voice service is now available to users in these settlements.
