OREANDA-NEWS. An advertising campaign for G-Energy motor oils — “The vocal impressionist: adapting to any situation” has been recognised at the Effie Awards Russia 2017 — Russia’s leading awards for achievements in marketing and advertising.

The key element of this campaign was an advertisement featuring virtuoso vocal impersonator Daniel Jovanov, famous for his unique ability to reproduce exactly the sounds of various car engines. In the story, Daniel imitates the sound of the G-Energy team racing car’s engine as it overcomes off-road terrain, sand, dust, and snow drifts, while the G-Energy motor oil ensures the optimum operation of the “human vehicle”, under the challenging conditions of off-road competition.

The Effie Awards Russia represent the national round of the Effie Worldwide awards — one of the most prestigious awards in the marketing world, awarded for the most outstanding achievement in advertising and marcomms effectiveness. The competition has been held since 1968, in 44 countries across five continents and worldwide.

Three hundred applications were submitted to the 2017 Russian competition, of which only 100 reached the final. Submissions were evaluated in two stages by members of a jury comprising representatives of major advertising and communications agencies, leading international and Russian brands, and recognised experts in the communications market.

These are the fourth Effie Awards at which Gazprom Neft brands have been recognised, with the Gazprom Neft filling station network being recognised in 2011, the G-Drive fuels brand in 2014, and the G-Energy motor oils brand in 2013.
