Shipments of one type of product from China to Russia have soared

OREANDA-NEWS By the end of August 2025, the supply of Chinese soap to Russia increased by more than a quarter compared to July and reached $2.38 million in monetary terms. A sharp increase in exports of this type of product from China to Russia is reported by RIA Novosti, citing data from the Statistical Service of the Asian country.
Chinese soap supplies to Russia have been growing for the third month in a row. The volume of exports in August was the largest since December last year.
Despite this, Russia's share in the structure of Chinese exports remained insignificant — only 1.5 percent. The main buyers of soap from China continue to be the USA, Great Britain and Australia. The first country accounted for 21 percent of Chinese soap exports in August, the second — 11 percent, and the third — 5 percent. In general, over the last month of summer, shipments of these products from China abroad increased by 4 percent and reached $ 155.59 million.
In the summer of 2025, Russia also significantly increased imports of Chinese medicines. By the end of July, shipments of this type of product from China to Russia had almost doubled year-on-year and amounted to $15.9 million in monetary terms. In 12 months, the supply of medicines and other pharmaceutical products from China to the Russian market increased 1.9 times. The most in-demand type turned out to be immunological products and preparations made from blood.
