OREANDA-NEWS   In the first month of autumn, 643 new trucks (with a gross weight of more than 3.5 tons) were imported to Russia. This was announced by Sergey Tselikov, director of the Autostat analytical agency, in his Telegram channel.

If we compare with September last year, when shipments reached 12.6 thousand units, the decrease is estimated at 20 times. From January to September 2025, less than five thousand trucks were delivered to Russia. In the same period of 2024, it was more than 61 thousand (minus 92 percent).

"It can be stated that the import of MCVs and HCVs has practically disappeared this year," stated Tselikov.

In early autumn, it was reported that by the end of August 2025, sales had collapsed in several segments of the Russian car market. For example, sales of new heavy trucks fell by 59.5 percent to 3,682 units. Sales of medium-tonnage vehicles with a lifting capacity from 3.5 to 16 tons fell by 50.2 percent during this time.
