OREANDA-NEWS The ruble exchange rate decreased against the dollar and the euro on the weekend of February 7 and 8. This is reported by the press service of the Bank of Russia.

The official exchange rate of the Russian currency against the dollar decreased by almost 50 cents. The US currency rose in price from 76.55 to 77.05 rubles.

The euro has also increased in value. Its value has changed from 90.29 to 91.04 rubles.

The exchange rate of the Chinese yuan has also undergone changes. According to the exchange rate of the Central Bank, its price increased from 10.99 to 11.1 rubles.

According to the Russian regulator, in January, legal entities in the country reduced the demand for foreign currency from 3.7 trillion rubles to 2.5 trillion. The Central Bank notes that the growth rate at the end of last year was seasonal, and now its level has turned out to be close to November's 2.2 trillion rubles and has equaled the average values recorded in 2025. At the same time, sales by exporters increased from $4.7 billion to $5.1 billion against the background of lower oil prices compared to the last month of 2025.
