OREANDA-NEWS The Profee money transfer service has restricted transfers of Russians after the tightening of European Union (EU) sanctions. This is reported by the Telegram channel "Well, people, let's go!".

According to the authors, Profee remained one of the few services that could be used to quickly transfer money from a European bank card to a Russian one. However, due to the entry into force of the 19th package of sanctions, users were notified that transfers to Russia are currently unavailable to everyone. The ban also affected Russians with residence permits from EU countries.

A day earlier, representatives of the service warned that the 19th package of sanctions could affect the work, and urged them to make transfers while there was such an opportunity.

"This decision was made in accordance with the requirements of external regulation and is beyond our control," the company explained.

Brussels imposed sanctions against Russia on October 23. First of all, the restrictions affected Russian energy exports, the EU also banned transactions with a number of Russian banks and imposed sanctions against the Mir payment system and the Fast Payment System. Finally, the sanctions were extended to dozens of new types of goods, including dual-use goods. At the same time, mosses, lichens, rhododendrons and toys with a motor were included in the list.
