OREANDA-NEWS  The first competition day of the 2026 Winter Olympics has started in Italy.

The curling match session started in Cortina d'Ampezzo on Wednesday. However, the competition was briefly interrupted due to technical problems: the lights went out in the arena.

The 2026 Games will officially start on February 7, on which day the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games will take place.

13 Russian athletes will take part in the Olympics as neutral athletes.
