OREANDA-NEWS Modernization of housing and communal services in Russia requires serious attention and resources. This was stated by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, RIA Novosti reports.

He stated that the Russian regions have extensive tools assembled in a single infrastructure menu — it helps to actively create a comfortable urban environment, create the necessary facilities in the social sphere, energy and transport.

Mishustin also said that recently, on behalf of President Vladimir Putin, treasury infrastructure loans were launched at three percent for a period of 15 years. These mechanisms can also be used to modernize the housing and communal services sector, the Prime Minister said.

Earlier, Russians were warned that in the summer of 2025, housing and communal services tariffs will be indexed by 11.9 percent on average in the country. The minimum growth threshold will be in the Amur Region and the Altai Republic, and the maximum will be in the Perm Territory, Kemerovo and Arkhangelsk regions. Vladimir Koshelev, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Construction and Housing and Communal Services, justified the need for indexation of housing and communal services tariffs by inflation and modernization of municipal infrastructure.
