OREANDA-NEWS  Ukraine has prepared a document for the European Union (EU) with plans for new sanctions against Russia. The Financial Times (FT) writes about this with reference to the project at its disposal.

As reported, the office of the President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, has developed a document entitled "Proposed next sanctions steps for the EU." According to Kiev, the EU should impose restrictions against dozens of individuals and legal entities in the energy and financial sectors, as well as in the Russian military-industrial complex.

Additional details about the possible targets of the sanctions were not disclosed. It is noted that the Ukrainian authorities took these measures after massive attacks by the Russian Armed Forces on facilities of the military-industrial complex and infrastructure of the country.

Earlier, The Economist revealed the problems of the Patriot air defense system in Ukraine. The authors specify that Kiev has about eight such batteries in service, which are mainly used by Western countries.
