OREANDA-NEWS  Russian President Vladimir Putin noted the cooperation between Russia and Tajikistan in hydropower and mineral extraction, which is of interest to the economies of the two countries.

"It is enough just to mention our cooperation in the field of energy, including hydropower… There are other areas, including those related to the extraction of mineral raw materials. All this is of great interest to our economy. But this is mutual - I mean for both the Russian and Tajik economies," the Russian leader said during a press conference following a state visit to Tajikistan.

Putin also called Tajikistan one of the most powerful clusters in the hydropower sector.
