OREANDA-NEWS The Russian Export Center (REC, VEB Group) and the Export Support Center (CPE) of the Smolensk Region are launching a pilot project to test a new mechanism for working together with exporters, the parties will conclude an agency agreement, the REC reports.
"At the first stage, REC and CPE will involve small and medium-sized enterprises in the region to insure export transactions under the EXIAR Deferred Payment Insurance for SMEs program. This tool allows exporters to offer deferred payments to their partners with minimal risk of financial losses, expand their customer base and explore new markets. The maximum volume of deliveries under one contract can reach 10 million rubles," the message says.
p.m. "The REC methodologically supports the creation and operation of a network of export support centers. The agency remuneration mechanism, which we will begin implementing in the near future, will allow the CPE to receive an additional source of extra-budgetary income and expand the use of support measures by the REC Group by exporters," Veronika Nikishina, General Director of the REC, said on the sidelines of the district meeting on the implementation of the national project "International Cooperation and Export" on September 11 in Smolensk.
If the pilot is successfully implemented, the mechanism will be extended to other products of the REC Group aimed at supporting export operations. In the future, it is planned to conclude similar agency agreements with export support centers in other regions.
"Last year, the Smolensk Region initiated this format of mutually beneficial cooperation. It will allow more entrepreneurs to use effective export support tools, and the CPE will receive additional resources for effective work," said Vasily Anokhin, Governor of the Smolensk Region.
Export support centers help SMEs at all stages of their export activities: from basic consultations and training on foreign economic activity to finding partners, participating in business missions and exhibitions, as well as entering marketplaces and other foreign sales channels. They operate in 82 regions of the Russian Federation. The list of CPE is available on the REC website.
The REC is a government institution that supports non-primary non-energy exports. It provides companies from various industries with both financial and non-financial assistance at all stages of entering international markets, including within the framework of the national project "International Cooperation and Export". Most of the REC's services are available online on the state-owned digital platform My Export.
