OREANDA-NEWS  The growth rate of business activity in Russia increased in November, the business climate indicator (IBC) amounted to 3.4 points after 2.3 points a month earlier, according to the Bank of Russia's information and analytical commentary "Enterprise Monitoring".

"In November, the IBC increased to 3.4 points (after 2.3 points a month earlier)," the article says. And the Bank of Russia notes that this is the maximum in the last six months.

"To a greater extent, this was determined by a noticeable improvement in short-term expectations with a slight increase in assessments of the current situation," the Central Bank notes.

"The main contribution to the growth of the IBC in November was made by enterprises in the service sector, mainly hospitality and catering, as well as administrative and healthcare services," the regulator clarifies.

Current estimates of the business climate in November were above the October level and the average value of the third quarter of this year, which was due to some improvement in current estimates of demand, while estimates of output decreased, the Central Bank said.

"From an industry perspective, estimates of current business conditions increased more significantly in the service sector and in processing, while they decreased in the motor vehicle trade, wholesale trade and transportation," the document also says.
