OREANDA-NEWS  The Russian FPV drone "Boomerang" can replace ten conventional unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). This was told to TASS by a soldier of a special unit with the call sign Guantanamo, located in the Red Army-Mirnograd area of the special military operation zone.

"These are both scouts and miners now. The main element of the defeat is manpower and armored vehicles. Instead of spending ten drones, I use only one," the soldier said.

According to him, thanks to the automatic target retention (AUT) option, the UAV operator can bring the drone to its destination even when the enemy uses electronic warfare. Guantanamo added that one "Boomerang" can make 30-40 sorties.

In the strike version, this UAV, according to the military, carries up to four kilograms of explosives, which are usually used to detonate armored vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).
