OREANDA-NEWS  The Russian stock market has seen a sharp increase at the start of the morning trading session, rising by 5.09% according to data from the Moscow Stock Exchange. The ruble index, with an additional code moex 2, rose to 2,785.68 points at 7:01 am.m. local time.

On January 27, morning trading resumed on the Moscow Stock Market, which runs from 6:50 a.m. to 9:50 a.m. The main trading session still runs from 9:50 a.m. to 6 p.m., and it is during this time that the official value of the Moscow Index (iMOEX) is determined.

For information purposes, throughout the trading day - from 7 a.m. to midnight - the Moscow Exchange also calculates an additional index (iMOEX2) that coincides with the iMOEX during the main trading session.
