The share of domestic medicines in the Russian market exceeds 63%

OREANDA-NEWS The total share of Russian medicines in the domestic market of the country in physical terms exceeds 63%, and in public procurement reaches 80%, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation said in a statement.
"The total share of domestic medicines in the domestic market in physical terms exceeds 63%, and in public procurement reaches 80%. In socially significant categories of medicines, a high degree of local production has been achieved, in particular, more than 90% of the need for medicines for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases and tuberculosis has been covered in government procurement of domestic medicines, as well as over 80% for vaccines," the report says.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade added that Russia produces full-cycle vaccines against 11 of the 12 infections in the national vaccination calendar. In addition, the production base is actively developing. So, in 2025, 5 new production facilities and sites were commissioned.
