OREANDA-NEWS The Commission of the State Council of the Russian Federation on the Northern Sea Route and the Arctic, which met on Friday under the chairmanship of the Governor of the Murmansk region Andrey Chibis, continues to work on the instructions of Russian President Vladimir Putin, which he gave in the spring during the International Arctic Forum, the Ministry of Information Policy of the region reported.

The agenda of the commission's meeting included issues related to the execution of the instructions of the President of the Russian Federation, given following the results of the International Arctic Forum in 2025 and determining the further development of the Arctic zone of Russia. Many of these initiatives were previously worked out and proposed by the State Council commission on the Northern Sea Route and the Arctic.
