OREANDA-NEWS  In the next five years, 30 new metro stations will be opened in Moscow. Mayor Sergei Sobyanin told residents of the capital about their appearance, as quoted by the press service of the mayor and the government.

On Monday, October 20, specialists began the second stage of construction of the Troitskaya metro line — the mayor launched the sinking of the left-hand stage tunnel from the already functioning Novomoskovskaya station to the future Sosenok. As a result, six new stations will be built that will connect Kommunarka and Troitsk. "11 stations have been built from ZILA to Kommunarka, and today we are starting the final stage of construction of the Troitskaya metro line — from Kommunarka, actually, to Troitsk itself. Dozens of kilometers of tunnels will have to be laid, six stations will have to be built, transport hubs will have to be equipped, and all this will be put into operation in 2029. The new Moscow will receive the central axis of the transport framework, which will ensure its reliable development for decades to come," Sobyanin is convinced.

In addition to Troitskaya, the Biryulevskaya and Rublyovo-Arkhangelskaya metro lines are being built in the capital, which will consist of 10 and eight stations, respectively, as well as the Golyanovo, Yuzhny Port and Dostoevskaya stations. In total, in 2026-2028, Sobyanin shared information, 26.9 kilometers of lines, one electric depot and 13 stations are going to be introduced in Moscow — eight on the Rublyovo-Arkhangelskaya line, four on the first section of the Biryulevskaya line from ZIL to Kuryanovo, as well as the Golyanovo Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya line.

The mayor added that in the next three years it is planned to start work related to the design of a new metro line in Skolkovo and several other subway branches.

Earlier in October, it became known that meeting booths had appeared in the Moscow metro. They will be free for everyone until the end of 2025.
