OREANDA-NEWS. April 03, 2008. The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) recognized that "BRK Invest Limited" CJSC, "Domodedovo Airhotel" CJSC and "Vnukovo-Invest" OJSC violated Part 1 Article 10 of the Federal Law "On Protection of Competition" (abusing dominant position), reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

Cases against these companies were initiated upon a joint inspection of FAS Russia and the Moscow Office of FAS Russia of parking in "Sheremetyevo", "Domodedov" and "Vnukovo" airports, carried out die to complaints of individuals about high parking prices in the airports and inability to leave the airport within a designated time limit.

"Domodedovo Airhotel" CJSC and "Vnukovo-Invest" OJSC violated the antimonopoly legislation by abusing their dominant position, in particular, infringing the interests of other persons by fixing and maintaining monopolistically high prices on parking services; or withdrawing the services if it could lead to increased prices. "BRK Invest Limited" CJSC also violated the law by imposing unfavorable contract conditions upon a counteragent.

Having analyzed the market of short-term car parking services in the airports, as well as the materials obtained in course of the inspection, FAS Russia established that "BRK Invest Limited" CJSC, "Domodedovo Airhotel" CJSC and "Vnukovo-Invest" OJSC offer short-term parking services in the above airports and have dominant position of the market of such services.

The decision and determinations in the cases will be prepared within the statutory period.
