OREANDA-NEWS. On 12th May 2008 the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) will continue processing the antimonopoly cases against "ROSBANK" Share-Holding Commercial Bank OJSC and 27 insurance companies that violated Part 1 Article 11 of the Federal Law "On Protection of Competition", reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

On 24th March 2008, processing the materials presented by the insurance companies, FAS Russia established that insuring vehicles, pledged to the banks, some insurance companies apply different insurance rates than for insuring the cars which are to pledged to the bank. Such actions violate Clause 6 Part 1 Article 11 the Federal Law "On Protection of Competition".

Due to the need to obtain additional information from the insurance companies on the vehicles insurance rates, and from the bank - documentation on insurers' requirements and proceedings for handling borrowers' insurance applications, FAS Russia adjourned the case until 12th May 2008.
