OREANDA-NEWS. On April 28, 2008 Subsidiary Bank Joint Stock Company Sberbank of Russian (SB Sberbank JSC, Almaty), bonds of which are traded in the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) category "A" official list, provided to KASE the press release on the following, reported the press-centre of KASE:

More than 2,5 times increased the net income of SB Sberbank JSC in the 1st quarter of 2008, having reached the level of USD6,16 m. against USD2,44 m/ for the same period of 2007.

The income high growth rates in comparison with the 1st quarter of the previous year were caused by the increase of the Bank's equity capital, innovations both in the Bank's organizational structure and the credit policy, approaches to relations with clients, the analysis of economic activities of potential and existing investors under crediting conditions and priorities of business types and the economy sectors of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

REFERENCE: As of 1.04.2008, the capital of SB Sberbank JSC made up USD269,64 m., the assets USD559,33 m., legal entities loan portfolio - USD243,37 m., individuals - USD60,54 m. Legal entities loan portfolio from the beginning of 2008 increased by 145%.

Nursultan Taskaranov, Director of Corporate Clients Department: "During 2007, we targeted at expansion of the corporate block products base at the expense of competitive credit products. It should be emphasized that our efforts led to excellent results - from the beginning of 2008, legal entities loan portfolio growth made up USD144,25 m., in addition the cashier service of clients of SB Sberbank JSC attracted 278 new clients - legal entities (2007 - 517 clients), what relates to active attraction of new clients and continuing of work with the Bank's existing clients.

In general, at present, the crediting process across the SB Sberbank JSC system is transferred to principles and the basic crediting terms of Sberbank of Russia. Nowadays, the Bank exercises the short-term investment crediting, issue of payment and bidding notes, letters of credit. We are actively attracting companies of large, middle and small businesses. The Bank employees participate in conferences on the most priority economy sectors of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation.

Thus, we participated in the first international "Kazakhstan Metallurgic Conference - 2008", held in the first decade of April in Astana. At present we reached the cooperation agreement with large metallurgic enterprises of Kazakhstan.
