OREANDA-NEWS. August 12, 2008. As it was informed in NBM, as of August 1, 2008, NBM currency reserves amounted to USD1 billion 707,27 million, increasing by USD 45,5 million or 2,7% in comparison with the previous week.

NBM currency reserves exceeded historical maximum of USD 1,6 billion in the first decade of July 2008.

 The previous historical maximum of USD 1,5 billion was exceeded in late of June 2008 and boundary of USD 1 billion in late August 2007.

As of late December 2007, NBM currency reserves amounted to USD 1 billion 333,68 million, as of late I quarter of 2008-to USD 1 billion 424,29 million and as of late I half of 2008- to USD 1 billion 525,95 million.

The government plans to exceed the currency reserves boundary of USD 1,7 billion by late 2008.
