OREANDA-NEWS. On August 25, 2008 the Novosibirsk Office of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (OFAS Russia) initiated proceedings against "Severny Toplivno-Zapravochny Komplex [Fuel-and-Refilling Complex]" Ltd. (further on - "Severny" TZK" Ltd.) and "Gazpromneft - Aero" CJSC for violating Article 10 of the Federal Law "On Protection of Competition" (abusing dominant position on a goods market), reported the press-centre of FAS Russia. 

Novosibirsk OFAS Russia has established that from 10th June 2008 to 18th August 2008 "Severny" TZK" Ltd. increased selling prices for aviation kerosene from с 28 983.00 Rubles per ton to 31 500.00 Rubles per ton, with the rate of price increase 8.6%.

"Severny" TZK" Ltd. justifies increasing it selling prices for aviation kerosene by growing prices of oil companies. However, this factor does not explain the rate of increase of the selling prices set by "Severny" TZK" Ltd., because the supplier increased the purchase price for aviation kerosene only by 2.3%.

From 1st July 2008 to 18th August 2008 "Gazpromneft - Aero" CJSC increased the selling price for aviation kerosene from с 29 314.00 Rubles per ton to 35 000.00 Rubles per ton, the rate of price increase was 19.3%. During the same period the supplier did not increase the purchasing prices.

The cases will be heard on 30th September 2008 and 7th October 2008.
