OREANDA-NEWS. October 14, 2008. The Russian Bank for Development has extended to Baltinvestbank (St.Petersburg) a loan worth RUR 165 mln. Pursuant to the inter-bank agreement the funds shall be targeted to SME lending support in the North-Western region and they will be allocated through the Baltinvestbank branches in the other regions, reported the press-centre of RBD.

Financing to small and mid-sized enterprises in industry, transport, food industry, science and high-tech sectors as well as SME infrastructure support projects are among the lending priorities.

Baltinvestbank has been cooperating with RBD under SME lending support program since 2004.

Within that period nearly 200 borrowers received loans for a total of RUR 745 mln.
