At present there are several conditions in Belarus for the potential investors: the company’s profile, its export potential, the market assessment of the company, the Prime Minister said. Investors are likely to take part in the social programmes of the state, reported the Official website www.government.by.

“These are the main criteria of the Belarusian government for the investors who are eager to work in the country. Taking all the aforesaid into account, we are ready to discuss your offerings,” Sergei Sidorsky said.

The Director for Corporate Finances and Development in Europe and Americas of SABMiller Plc. Company said that the company is glad to discuss possible investments in Belarus’ brewing. “As you know we have already searched for possibilities to invest in your country since 2007. We hope that now jointly with the Belarusian side we will be able to succeed in the work,” he said.

SABMiller Plc.is the world’s second brewer after Anheuser-Busch InBev. According to the company’s financial report 2008, it netted US2.02 billion. The company’s profits grew 15% to reach US 21.41 billion.

In Russia SABMiller Plc. has been operating through its subsidiary SABMiller RUS, one of the Russian leading brewers producing such brands as Zolotaya Bochka, Velkopopovicky Kozel, Tri Bogatyrya, Moya Kaluga, Miller Genuine Draft, Holsten, Pilsner Urquell and Redd's. Today SABMiller Plc. produces over six million decalitres of beer in Russia.
