OREANDA-NEWS  On 05 March was announced, that the Government plans to allocate UAH 12 mln from the State Lease Fund to Kherson Machine-Building Plant to assist to pay off arrears of wages to employees of the enterprise and assignments to the budget. A respective commission was formulated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko during a meeting dedicated to the situation on Kherson Machine-Building Works.

“In the view of extremely complicated state of Kherson Machine-Building Works we together with the Minister of Industrial Policy have come to a decision to direct these 12 mln hryvnyas for the needs of the enterprise,” Yulia Tymoshenko explained. According to her, the funds will be transferred to the enterprise on Friday, but only on condition a special account in the State Treasury will be opened.

At this, Yulia Tymoshenko added this issue is within personal responsibility of the Minister of Industrial Policy, Minister of Agrarian Policy, head of UkrLeasing and head of the State Treasury.

Moreover, the Premier has empowered the State Property Fund to take under control the situation with Kherson Machine-Building Works, in particular, to hold an inventory of privatization contracts. At this, the Head of Government warned the owners of the plant that in case attempts to close the plant or dismiss the employees are made the enterprise will be returned to the state property.
