OREANDA-NEWS. March 11, 2009. ASKA insurance company decided to join the Charter of Social Responsibility and Business Reputation of Insurance Market Players that are members of the League of Insurance Companies of Ukraine, reported the press-centre of SCM.

The Charter aims to establish an effective insurance system, which would ensure financial safety of the country, extend the role of the insurance sector for stabilization of financial standing of business entities and secure trust of the population to public types of insurance.

The Charter is based on the principles of the rule of law, competition, stability and trust.

Participants of the Charter vow to speed up the terms of making decisions on public types of insurance and payments; fix the policy administration costs on the level, which allows to carry out the major activity without losses; prevent unreasonable dumping or overpricing; increase monitoring of financial sustainability and ensure timely publication of performance results; avoid talking about bankruptcies, financial instability and unfair actions of competitors in speeches, comments and communication with customers, unless these facts are confirmed by decisions of the company's owner or courts.

“АSКА is always guided by the values of corporate social responsibility. We fully realize that building a successful and profitable business and the status of a socially responsible company are complementary rather than competing objectives", said President of АSКА Aleksandr Sosis in his comments on the decision to join the Charter.

He specified the exact definition of a socially responsible company by ASKA's management:

Meeting all legal obligations of the company; paying taxes on time and in full;

Fair and transparent cooperation with customers, business partners and shareholders.

Meeting the modern corporate governance standards, openness and public disclosure.

Creating good working conditions for employees including provision of social guarantees and decent wages paid in compliance with the current legislation.

"We are committed to doing business in a civilized and transparent manner", said Aleksandr Sosis. "As the senior manager, I have a clear understanding: if a customer leaves us unsatisfied, another won't come to us. So, we believe that the commitment to CSR principles is the keystone to our business viability".
