OREANDA-NEWS. April 28, 2009. In Moscow, in the Centre of International Trade grand ceremony of choosing winners of the National Annual IT-Leader 2009 Awards took place, reported the press-centre of BTA Bank.

The Expert Panel of the Awards named LLS “BTA Bank” the winner of the special nomination For Outstanding Contribution to Development of Information Technologies in Russia. The Award was given to Igor Koval, Executive Director of BTA Bank.

The Award given to BTA Bank is the evidence of substantial success of the Bank in realizing IT projects facilitating both the business of the Bank and its efforts aimed at improving client servicing. Among the most successful projects in the field of information technologies realized by BTA Bank is implementation of systems of distance servicing for corporate and private customers, arrangement of the system of assessing quality by customers (the Quality Button), complete modernization of the network infrastructure of the Bank.

According to Igor Koval, Executive Director at LLS “BTA Bank”, “the awards is the evidence of success and importance of innovative projects carried out by the IT team of the Bank”.

The IT-Leader Awards is given to corporate institutions and their IT managers for their contribution to developing information technologies, which increase efficiency of an institution’s operation and improve living standards of the Russian society. The Expert Panel of the Awards consists of heads of Russian representative offices of major global IT companies, publishers and editors of most reliable mass media, managers of consulting companies.

This is not the only award, which evidences the status of BTA Bank as a technologically advanced financial and credit institution. Earlier in 2008 BTA Bank became the winner of the national banking awards For Implementation of Modern Management Technologies (Standards).
