Vice PM of Ukraine Takes Part in Investor Conference
OREANDA-NEWS. On May 28, 2009 Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine for European and International Integration Hryhoriy Nemyria has taken part in the Dragon Capital's 5th Annual Investor Conference.
“The worst times are behind but it doesn’t mean we can idle sitting on hands,” Hryhoriy Nemyria emphasized speaking about an economic situation in Ukraine. Our economics is on the way towards recovery and actions of the Government in the direction of overcoming the fallouts of the crisis can become an example for our region, the Vice Premier said.
According to him, despite all negative things for the economic development the world financial-economic crunch gives a chance to Ukraine to get out of it with a modernized, adapted to the world standards economics, with improved administration and technological industrial base,” he stressed.
The Vice Prime Minister told the Government is always open for a constructive dialog and active cooperation with representatives of bank circles, investors who strive to lead their business in Ukraine.
“There exist all reasons to consider that owing to the efforts of the Government of Ukraine and national business an international investor community will see that prospects and profits of investing into Ukraine significantly exceed present risks,” Hryhoriy Nemyria opined.
Moreover, Hryhoriy Nemyria informed participants of the forum on recent achievements of Ukraine in the direction of cooperation of Ukraine with the IMF, World Bank and EBRD.
The conference also gathered IMF Resident Representative to Ukraine Max Alier and the World Bank Director for Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova Martin Raiser.
