OREANDA-NEWS. August 03, 2009. The Voronezh aviation plant VASO invited airlines and media members to take a look at the first deliverable example of the An-148 made in Russia, reported the Official website uacrussia.ru.

The aircraft registration RA-61701 was available for inspection at VASO flight test station. Anatoly Karpov, general director of Polet (Flight) airline and Eugeny Bachurin, general director of Atlant-Soyuz airline of the Moscow city government were among honorable guests who attended the event.

Lev Lander, head of engineering and technical department, represented the launch customer for the type, GTK Rossiya (State Transport Company “Russia”). Among other guests there were representatives from the Presidential air detachment, Kuban Airlines, Volga aviaexpress and other Russian carriers.

The guests inspected the RA-61701, listened to presentations by the developers of the aircraft and its powerplant, and then watched a demonstration flight. This was eight flight for the RA-61701 since its first flew on 18 July. Sergei Troshin, test pilot and head of Antonov flight crews, and Gennady Ryabov, VASO test-pilot, were at the controls.
