OREANDA-NEWS. August 03, 2009. The Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko is assured there are no grounds for slump of hryvnya. She announced during a meeting with depositors of Rodovid Bank.

At this, the Head of Government added there were no objective reasons for sharp devaluation of hryvnya several months ago. “I am convinced and I will be able to prove just after the presidential elections that all the operations made in the course of crisis in banking sphere have led to the situation when speculation reached unforeseen limits,” Yulia Tymoshenko underlined. The Premier noted hryvnya course cannot exceed UAH 6-6.5 against USD. According to her, we can see earning money on fluctuations of hryvnya rates.

Yulia Tymoshenko emphasized it is hard for the Gov’t to fight against such speculations, but “early or late and, I think, not later than in March of next year all the cards will be opened and every citizen will see what happened to UAH 87 billion destined for minimizing consequences of the crisis, every person will see who took the money into offshore accounts, who and in which way influenced ruining of hryvnya”.
