OREANDA-NEWS. Since 31 August this year AB Bank SNORAS changes the interest rates of the time deposits in Litas, Euros, Great Britain pounds sterling and USA dollars, reported the press-centre of Bank SNORAS.

Since 31 August the annual interest paid to the clients of Bank SNORAS for the time deposits in Litas will amount to 9.5 per cent, in Euros and Great Britain pounds sterling - up to 5 per cent, in USA dollars - up to 3 per cent. The in interest paid by the bank for the time deposits in Litas will be up to 1 per cent less. The interest rates of all terms for the deposits in Euros, British pounds sterling and USA dollars will be reduced by 1 per cent.

"During the last several months we have noticed a tendency that more people tend to save up for a longer period and they returned to the reliable and permanent method of saving up money - keeping the savings in the deposits of a longer term. It is a good sign showing a growing trust towards the financial market. Bank SNORAS, in its turn, further intends to maintain for its clients the conditions of some of the most attractive longer term interest deposits on the market," states Zorzas Sarafanovicius, AB Bank SNORAS deputy chairman of the Board, the director of the Retail Business Division.

The annual interest for the deposits in Litas for 9-12 months and 12 months as well as for a longer term will not change and will be 9.25 and 9.5 per cent accordingly. For the deposits in Litas for 6-9 months and 3-6 months Bank SNORAS will pay accordingly 8.5 and 8 per cent annual interest. The interest in Litas for the short term (1-3 months) deposits will be 7.5 per cent.

It is very convenient for Bank SNORAS clients to conclude and prolong the deposit agreements because Bank SNORAS owns the most expansive customer service network in Lithuania. Besides, this year Bank SNORAS improved the e-banking system "Internet Bank+" which allows the bank clients to put or extend the deposits in the way that is the most convenient for them.

The bank depositors, having extended a deposit of not less than 1 month, will receive 0.2 per cent larger interest.
