Tallinn Airport Gets Fourth Board Member
OREANDA-NEWS. October 15, 2009. The supervisory board of AS Tallinna Lennujaam (Tallinn Airport) has chosen Erik Sakkov as new member of the state owned airport company's management board in a public competition.
Sakkov's contract as fourth member of the management board will take effect from October 15 and he will be responsible for marketing and sales.
"Speaking in Erik Sakkov's favor were both his experience as well as a strong vision of in what direction and how the Tallinn airport should go on in the coming few years," said Toivo Jurgenson, chairman of the supervisory board of Tallinna Lennujaam. He added that the supervisory board's decision had been unanimous.
The chairman of the management board of Tallinna Lennujaam is Rein Loik, with Einari Bambus and Anneli Turkin as board members.
Sakkov said in his remarks released by Tallinna Lennujaam that his main goal as board member will be to bring more airlines to Tallinn and to increase the number of air routes.
Tallinna Lennujaam is the operator of Estonia's airports, being in charge of the airports of Tartu, Parnu, Kuressaare, Kardla, Kihnu and Ruhnu, besides Tallinn.
