OREANDA-NEWS. July 06, 2010. In the frame of the project, financed by the World Bank and Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), Moldova has got a special car for assessment of roads’ condition.

It should be noted that only 5 similar cars exist in the world and their cost amounts to EUR700 thousand. Besides, this projects is the first one in South-Eastern Europe.

As the Prime Minister Vladimir Filat said at the ceremony of project start-up, 3 thousand kilometer of Moldovan roads (out of 9 thousand kilometers) will be inspected within 25 days, after what will be made a report on their condition. Next, Moldova will start negotiations with external partners on the attraction of investment for reconstruction of the roads.
