October 06, 2010. “Swedbank” Internet bank for business and private clients is going to work in the united environment from now, whereas renewed design and new functions will allow the users using the services of Internet bank even in more simple and comfortable way. These changes are especially topical for business clients, who will be able to handle business and personal finances during one session, and they will also be able to use the expanded range of business services of Internet bank, reported the press-centre of Swedbank.  

“The need for various bank services in electronic environment has been growing in the recent years, thus the number of companies using Internet bank for business has also been increasing. With regard to rapidly growing business needs for services in electronic medium and opinion of the customers, we have created new Internet bank for business”, - says manager of Service of business banking, Vytautas Buciunas. 

The number of users of “Swedbank“ Internet bank for business has increased by more than 60 percent since 2007. It is calculated that about 98 percent of all payments done by business clients in bank are done through electronic channels. 

 “Payments, transfers of salaries and receipt of information about accounts remain the most important functions of “Swedbank“ Internet bank for business, which are used by business; however, the need for effective collection of resources has been rapidly growing in the recent years”, - says V. Buciunas. 

“Swedbank” has noticed that the number of companies, which collect resources using direct debit, has been growing – small and moderate business is using this settlement mode more and more frequently. Respectively, according to the data of “Swedbank“, the number of clients, who pay by direct debit, has increased by 56 percent since 2007.  

The number of electronic invoices sent to the clients of “Swedbank” is also growing. The number of electronic invoices that has grown by almost 3 times since the beginning of 2009 shows that the senders and receivers of electronic invoices have appreciated this service. 

“After we had analyzed and evaluated the tendencies and needs of management of corporate finances, we improved “Swedbank“ Internet bank for business so that it could help the companies to collect the resources as effectively as possible, and to monitor the information in the corporate accounts operatively. For this purpose the separate group of functions of resource collection has been created in the Internet bank for business,” – says V. Buciunas.  

The business clients will also be able to deliver financial reports in the “Swedbank“ Internet bank in more simple way, as well as to use investing services, and to submit applications for various services, for example, regarding acquisition of scanners of electronic cards (ECS). 

The international companies working in all three Baltic states and companies, which are interested in such international services as SWIFT, opening of accounts in “Swedbank” banks in other Baltic states, will also find new, convenient services in “Swedbank“ Internet bank for business. The international companies will be able to manage the accounts of individual companies in the group more effectively using the service of management of group’s account, as well as to lend resources within the group, and to see the information about movement of finances between the group’s companies. The changes in “Swedbank“ Internet bank are being implemented at the same time in all the Baltic states, thus the bank’s clients will be able to use identical Internet bank’s environment and services in different countries. 

For the convenience of clients the environment of “Swedbank“ Internet bank for business will be connected to the Internet bank for private clients. It means that if the client wants to handle business and personal finances during one session, he won’t need to enter the password once more – he will be able to move from one Internet bank’s environment to another. Besides, the security of Internet bank for business has been reinforced – the system analogous to the already applied system in “Swedbank“ Internet bank for private clients has been implanted.  

The changes of Internet bank for private clients are minimal at present – the entire main menu has been transferred to the left column, according to the positive responses of clients during tests. Nevertheless, “Swedbank” is planning significant changes in Internet bank for private clients, too: in 2011-2012 it is planned to update Internet bank for private clients by providing them with more tools for convenient handling of personal finances and interactive consultations with bank’s specialists. Besides, “Swedbank” plans to continue development and improvement of Internet bank for business clients by transferring more and more services to the electronic space. Until the end of this year the clients will be able to use the now working “Swedbank“ Internet bank and new version of Internet bank. From January 01, 2011 only the new “Swedbank“ Internet bank will be in operation.
