OREANDA-NEWS. November 9, 2010. Interpipe’s NMPP mill has confirmed that its Quality Management System meets American Petroleum Institute (API) standard demands. In order to renew its license attesting to the right to use the API monogram for product marking, Interpipe NMPP passed the audit in accordance to the demands of API Q1 “Program specifications on providing quality in chemical, petrochemical, and gas industries” and API 5L “Technical demands for line pipes” standards.

In the framework of the audit the representatives of the American Petroleum Institute made a thorough check of all the main processes at the mill: production management and planning, monitoring and product measuring as well as examined corrective and anticipatory measures. According to the results of the audit Interpipe NMPP again confirmed the correspondence of the Quality Management System to the demands of API Q1 and API 5L.

Fadi Hraibi, Director for Product and Resource Management at Interpipe said: “Interpipe for many years has cooperated with the American Petroleum Institute in product certification. In 1995 Interpipe NMPP, received the license to apply the API monogram on its products. At the moment all Interpipe mills are certificated in accordance to the demands of the API 5L standard. The constant renewal of the license enables us to get an independent view of international auditors to the condition of the quality management system, revealing new ways to improve processes at the industrial enterprises.”
