Bank SNORAS Shares Are Listed in German Stock Exchanges
OREANDA-NEWS. February 07, 2011. AB Bank SNORAS became the only one among the Lithuanian financial institutions, whose registered ordinary shares are listed in foreign stock exchanges. The trade with Bank SNORAS shares in Frankfurt stock exchange (XETRA) – the largest German stock exchange and one of the largest ones in the world – commenced on 25 January this year, in Berlin stock exchange – since 21 January. The German investment bank “Baader Bank AG” initiated inclusion of Bank SNORAS shares in the lists of the aforementioned stock exchanges, reported the press-centre of Bank SNORAS.
“Since the very beginning of founding the bank we have endeavoured to be among the most innovative national companies. We are the first bank in Lithuania which offered the electronic banking system, implemented the automated system of managing crediting processes, which allows receiving a loan within a few minutes. We were also the first in the Baltic region to distribute the debt securities emission on international markets.
Therefore, seeking to be innovative and competitive, we stepped into foreign stock exchanges and so far we are the only ones who represent the Lithuanian financial institutions. The fact that we are included in two prestigious German stock exchanges is a great evaluation for us, and it seems that not only all ever-growing indicators of the bank are noticed but also the international recognition by “The Banker”. We trust that inclusion of Bank SNORAS shares in the lists of the German stock exchanges will increase the liquidity of the shares and at the same time from the economic side will strengthen the bank’s reputation in one of the leading member states of the European Union,” says Raimondas Baranauskas, the President of AB Bank SNORAS.
According to R. Baranauskas, the decision adopted by the bank’s shareholders last year to distribute a new LTL 380,083 million worth emission of shares should become a topic of interest both in the Lithuanian and German stock exchanges. Therefore, it is likely that the bank may obtain long-term institutional investors from the latter country.
Inclusion of Bank SNORAS shares in the prestigious German stock exchanges will attract the attention of German and Western European investors, who will be able to trade with the bank’s shares without the local mediators.
