Ukraine Will Lay 50 000 Tons of Buckwheat to State Reserve in 2012
OREANDA-NEWS. March 14, 2011. The Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov charged the following year to lay to the State Reserve 50 thousand tons of buckwheat in 2012. He said this in a broadcast program "Test for government".
"For next year, I have instructed, that we lay in State Reserve approximately 50 thousand tons of buckwheat – it charged a lot of money, but buckwheat is long life product. So we should spend to avoid speculation on this product" - Mykola Azarov emphasized. He added that this year will be seeded buckwheat is twice more than last year.
In addition, the Prime Minister said that in 2010 Ukraine had 200 000 tones of buckwheat and if we had not run on a bank, this crop would be enough to satisfy the needs of the population in this cereal (annual consumption - about 100 thousand tons).
He said that now the situation has stabilized to ensure buckwheat. "Buckwheat in our country is enough. Anyone who wants to buy buckwheat, for example in Kiev, on Saturday could go to the fair, there are regularly deliver approximately 150-200 tons of buckwheat at an affordable price "- the Prime Minister noted.
