OREANDA-NEWS. March 29, 2011. OJSC Belaruskali reported a 65.3% increase in currency proceeds from sale of potash fertilizers year-on-year to USD 2.06 billion, a source in the administration of the country stated.

In 2008, Belaruskali’s proceeds totaled USD 3.379 billion.

In 2010, the company was working at its full capacity owing to the recovery of the potash market after the recession.

The maker produced 8.6 million tonnes of potash fertilizers, up from 4.3 million tonnes in 2009. Exports reached 6.8 million tonnes.

The average price reached USD 300 per tonne in 2010.
