James Edward HUGHES-HALLETT has indicated his intention to resign as Finance Director of Cathay Pacific Airways Limited (“Cathay Pacific”) with effect from 15th November 2011. This follows Mr. Hughes-Hallett’s decision to relocate to the United Kingdom. It is intended that Martin James MURRAY, currently Deputy Finance Director of Swire Pacific Limited, a substantial shareholder of Cathay Pacific, should succeed Mr. Hughes-Hallett as Finance Director, reported the press-centre of Cathay Pacific.

This announcement is issued by Cathay Pacific pursuant to Rule 13.09 of the Rules Governing the Listing of Securities on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (the “Listing Rules”). Formal announcements under Rule 13.51(2) of the Listing Rules in relation to Mr. Hughes-Hallett’s resignation and Mr. Murray’s appointment as Finance Director will be made when the resignation and the appointment take effect.
