OREANDA-NEWS. May 19, 2011. Otkritie, one of the largest financial groups and leading providers of high frequency trading solutions in Russia, is proud to announce the appointment of two deputy CEOs to the Group, reported the press-centre of Otkritie.

Johannes Berner will be responsible for the Group’s development strategy as well as maintaining relationships with investors and enhancing the company’s operating activities.

Previously, Mr Berner was head of a division at Roland Berger Strategy Consultants (Moscow), where he focused on building cooperation between banks and financial companies in Russia and CIS. In 1999 he joined Boston Consulting its financial services division. Prior to this Mr Berner worked as a consultant for Mitchell Madison Group. He holds an MBA from INSEAD University (France) and graduated with a bachelors degree from the University of Bradford (UK).

In addition, Alexey Karakhan will become a member of Otkritie’s Executive Board and will manage HR activities, as well as PR, marketing, internal communication and corporate services for the Group.

Mr Karakhan is a former deputy CEO of strategic relationships for the Aton Group. Between 2004 and 2009 he headed the PR department at Renaissance Group. Mr Karakhan graduated from the Department of Journalism at Moscow State University.
