OREANDA-NEWS. June 07, 2011. The arched trusses with the maximum span in China was successfully lifted and installed for the cement production lines under the 3rd Phase of Wuhu Hailuo Cement Project. This works was under supervision by Maanshan Maishiji Engineering Consultation Company of Huatian Engineering & Technology Corporation of MCC (HTC), reported the press-centre of MCC.

Under this works, two cement clinker production lines (rated at 12,000 tons, the largest one in the world) and cogeneration facilities (36MW) will be built, consisting of two arched trusses, each with a square section of 3.5?3.5m, a span of 61m, a weight of 62 tons and an installation height of 21m. Before the lifting work was undertaken, the installation work of the net rack and equipment had been already started, therefore the site was too small for these operations and it was pretty difficult for lifting work.

To ensure the smooth completion of the installation, the supervision staff of Maishiji worked out an initial operating program and discussed with the employer and the construction units before the final program of “on-site assembly and integrated lifting” was eventually determined. During the lifting and installation, the management staff carried out supervision for the whole process, and thus ensured the overall completion of these operation on an one-off basis and saved valuable time for the follow-up installation of the net rack and equipment.
