OREANDA-NEWS. July 8 2011. On June 29-30th, 2011 "Brest" FEZ Administration took part in a matchmaking event "STOP4Business" within the frames of the "Consense 2011" International Trade Fair and Congress in Stuttgart (Germany).

Negotiations with representatives of 15 companies and organisations from Germany, Italy, Czechia, Poland, Turkey and Latvia were held. In the course of the talks the businessmen have been acquainted with the activity conditions on the "Brest" FEZ territory.

The best prove of efficiency of the Brest FEZ is the dynamics of its development. On the beginning of 2010, 65 companies from 16 countries are registered in the Brest FEZ,  USD 620  mln. ( 460 mln. EURO) of investments have been already in work here. The major investor countries are  Russia,  Great Britain,Poland.

An analysis of the Brest FEZ enterprises operation reveals the high efficiency of the FEZ residents activities. The volume of industrial output grows annually by 1.2 times. In 2009 the turnover reached USD  560 million USD( 415 million EURO). At the same time the products originating from the Brest FEZ are of high quality, up-to-date and competitive.

Being export-oriented, the Brest FEZ plays a key role in growth of export potential of the Brest region. In 2009 foreign trade turnover reached 620 mln. USD (460 mln. EURO).

At present, the Brest FEZ is one of the main “employers” in the Brest region. More than 13 thousand jobs were created in the FEZ.
