Ukraine Increased Electric Power Export to Moldova 37,6 Times
OREANDA-NEWS. August 16, 2011. Ukraine increased electric power export to Moldova 37.6 times in January-July 2011 in comparison with the same period last year, to 301.2 mln kilowatt/hour. These data were released by the energy and coal industry ministry o Ukraine.
It noted that electricity supplies to Moldova for 7 months of the last year had totaled 8 mln kilowatt hour. It should be noted that commercial supplies of Ukrainian electric power to Moldova were started in April this year by the DTK Power Trade company, a member of the largest Ukrainian private energy company DTEK.
It will be supplying 75-100 mln kilowatt/hour of electric power to Moldova a month. The Ukrainian electric power’s cost is 6.1 cents for a kilowatt/hour.
