Datong Coal Mine Group Launched Polyoxymethylene Project
OREANDA-NEWS. October 06, 2011. A ground-breaking ceremony for the Polyoxymethylene project with an annual output of 240,000 tons was held in the Coal Chemical Industrial Recycling Economic Park of the Datong Coal Mine Group, reported the press-centre of Datong Coal Mine Group.
Yuan Chunqing, secretary of the Shanxi Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China and chairman of the Standing Committee of the Shanxi Provincial People's Congress, and Wang Jun, deputy secretary of the Shanxi Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China and governor of Shanxi Province took part in the ceremony.
There are four large-scaled coal chemical projects built in the park: the methanol project with an annual output of 3 million tons, the Polyoxymethylene project with an annual output of 240,000 tons, the alkene project with an annual output of 600,000 tons and the Polyoxymethylene processing project.
After completion of the park,two production chains:thecoal-methanol-polyoxymethylene-polyoxymethylene products chain and the coal-methanol-alkene chain will be formed. They will consume 7 million tons of coal within the park, yielding over 18 billion yuan RMB in output value yearly. The launch of the Polyoxymethylene project is a key step in the extension of the coal chemical industry chain of the Datong Coal Mine Group. It will become the biggest Polyoxymethylene production base in the world.
