FAS, Government of Khabarovsk Region Signed Agreement on Cooperation
OREANDA-NEWS. October 07, 2011. Stats-Secretary Andrey Tsarikovskiy, Deputy Head of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia), and Sergey Schetnyov, Vice-Governor of the Khabarovsk Region, signed an Agreement on Cooperation, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.
The Agreement is aimed at protection of competition, creating conditions for efficient market performance, implementing the programme for developing competition in the Khabarovsk region, and observing the antimonopoly and advertising laws, the laws on state procurement and natural monopolies.
FAS Russia and the Government of the Khabarovsk Region agreed to conduct mutual consultations, organize working meetings and workshops to devise proposals towards further improving cooperation between the two bodies.
The parties will exchange information, particularly, when checking whether prices for energy carriers and socially important goods are justified.
“Developing competition in the Khabarovsk region – is one of the priorities of the work of the regional authority”, said Sergey Schetnyov.
“FAS Russia, in the person of our regional office, will be consulting executive bodies of the Khabarovsk region on the issues within its scope of reference”, stated Andrey Tsarikovskiy, who also emphasized the need to unite efforts to combat cartels.
