OREANDA-NEWS. December 01, 2011. Replacement of direct contracts by the open auctions is the most efficient and effective way to provide system progress of branch of forestry and to exclude economic abuses at any level. This was accentuated by the Head of the State Agency of forest resources Victor Sivets at a press conference at UKRINFORM.

"Results of previous auctions on sale of the raw wood and, in particular, in the fourth quarter of this year, confirm that the Agency in full-scale provides industrial demands of leading woodworking enterprises of the state. In fact this year at all tenders 100 % of the wood presented on sale have not been realized", - the Head of the State Agency of forest resources Victor Sivets ascertains.

Thus, according to him, the general auctions was billed 631.9 thousand cubic meters were purchased 539.2 thousand cubic meters. It is 85.3% of the total harvested wood. At a special auction of woodworkers were offered 767.1 thousand cubic meters, so it was actually sold 695.9 thousand cubic meters. It is 90.7% of the total number that are for sale.

On average price was raised by 10-15% to 235 UAH per cubic meter at auction.

Recall, the Head of the State Agency of forest resources Victor Sivets and president of Association "Mebliderevprom" Sergiy Sagal signed a memorandum of understanding and cooperation.
