OREANDA-NEWS. January 30, 2012. The Bankruptcy Administrator of „Snoras“ has returned over 5.5 million Litas to the customers who mistakenly paid for goods and services to the accounts at the bank „Snoras“, reported the press-centre of Snoras.

„Since December 28th, 2011 when bank „Snoras“ resumed acceptance of installments for loans and some customers continued to make payments for goods and services via their bank accounts, all the non-loan payments made were recorded and the funds returned to the sender“ – says the Bankruptcy Administrator of „Snoras“ Neil Cooper.

According to him, within three weeks, the Bank Administrator’s team has made 8000 transfers by which the non-loan payments were returned to the sender. Mostly payments were made for services provided by telecommunication, state institutions, leasing, etc.

The Bankruptcy Administrator of “Snoras” Neil Cooper encourages all businesses and organizations to proactively inform their customers about new accounts opened with other banks, to review forms of invoices used to ensure that no details about the previous account of bank “Snoras” are left.

The bank “Snoras” accounts should be used only to make installments for loans.

The Bankruptcy Administrator of bank Snoras, taking into consideration that clients did not have an opportunity to pay installments and other payable sums for loans on time, made the decision not to apply default interest and commitment fees in the period from 16 November 2011 until 31 January 2012.

From 1 February 2012, default interest will begin to be calculated for clients who did not cover the sum of their accumulated debt and did not renew payment of installments as established in the loan agreements.

Clients who now want to repay the loan in full or in part should contact the bank Contact centre or fill in the application form on the bank website http://www.snoras.com/en/paskolosforma or send the e-mail to address paskolos@snoras.com.
